Reviewing the implementation of new Partnership Strategy

As part of the continuing implementation of the new Partnership Strategy, Group Partnership met with the chairpersons and secretaries of ESB's local Partnership Groups during March. These meetings were held on two separate Wednesdays, March 5th and 12th, in order to facilitate attendees.

The purpose of these meetings was to review the implementation of the New Partnership Strategy, which was launched at the National Partnership Conference in September 2007, particularly from the perspective of our chairpersons and secretaries, who are key stakeholders in the process of developing partnership at local levels.

The meetings included presentations by Group Partnership outlining the actions taken to-date in implementing the strategy, followed by workshops that explored the process of growing partnership at local level and the actions we all need to take to make this happen.

The meetings also included an up-date presentation from the ESOP covering current issues including the setting up of the Internal Market.

John Campion, Executive Director, HR & Corporate Affairs, and Dave Naughton, Secretary of the Group of Unions, also spoke and re-iterated the continued support of the company and the Group of Unions for the partnership process.
