Wicklow Art Exhibition

ESB's archive & Heritage Section came together with Wicklow Arts Office to host an exhibition of paintings from ESB's art collection. The exhibition takes place at the County Buildings in Wicklow Town and runs from March 2nd to April 3rd.

All the work, with the exception of the Jennifer Trouton painting which was included because it presents in a visual form the history of ESB, either depict scenes from Wicklow or were created by artists who were born or resided in the county for at least part of their lives.

The exhibition features works by well known artists Sean Keating, Liam Tracey and Yann Redard Goulet alongside works from contemporary artists Cathy Henderson, Cathleen Moran, Orna McGovern, Barbara O' Meara, John Keating, David King, Claire Kerr and Jennifer Trouton.

The exhibition was officially opened on Monday March 2nd by John Redmond, ESB Company Secretary & Head of Corporate Affairs, Edward Sheehy, County Manager and Derek Mitchell, Cathaoirleach Wicklow County Council.

The exhibition has been much admired already and several local schools will be visiting it as part of their Leaving Certificate art studies programme, as the works included span a considerable time frame and demonstrate a wide variety of artist styles.
