Editors letter Hello and
Welcome The success of Sustainability Week has been followed closely by Seachtain na Gaeilge and I don't think many of us can say we have not noticed the increasing effort being made to use the cúpla focal whenever we can. For those who might be a bit rusty, and there are many, there is some exceptionally userfriendly material available to brush up on our native tongue. Some of the material works on a combination of CD/DVD/book and offers more varied opportunities to improve our knowledge. If you want to take a break from 'recession radio' then why not try out a CD on your way to and from work. You might be pleasantly surprised by how much you haven't forgotten! After all the heavy snow and frost, it is lovely to see the daffodils and bluebells popping up all over the place. This probably coincides also with a concerted effort to get out and enjoy the longer evenings and take in some exercise. I'm thinking particularly of the annual Sligo Walk, of course, and I'm sure most of you who are planning to take part are now well advanced in the training programme, details of which can be found on the Intranet. While the 50km walk is now dispensed with, the 30km is still quite a challenge for many, so don't delay – you don't have too many weeks of training left! It will also be a good way of losing those pounds after overindulging in too many Easter eggs! |
