Irish Hooker Niall Annett awarded ESB Man of the Match
The Atmosphere was electric in Dubarry Park Athlone on Friday night, 12th March last as Ireland Under 20’s built a solid lead against Wales and withstood a second half fight back to win the ESB Under 20’s Rugby International Home Series match 24-17. The match was broadcast live on RTE 2 and BBC Wales.
ESB Man of the Match was Irish Hooker, Niall Annett, who capped an excellent performance by crossing the Welsh line for a superb try. Annett’s efforts were rewarded by ESB Board Member, Georgina Kenny, who presented him with the ESB Man of the Match Silver Salver Awards after the game.
