Head Office Redevelopment
Design Competition
Three Irish-led architectural designs have been chosen to proceed to the final selection stage for the Head Office Redevelopment project.
A presentation was made at the recent ESB Board meeting in respect of the three architectural designs that have been selected to proceed to the next stage for the redevelopment of the Head Office site. This was an important milestone event for the proposed Head Office New Development project. As per the design competition rules a Competition Jury selected three winning designs from the shortlisted participants. Their deliberations took place in February and March.
The three winning submissions are;
- Grafton, OMP, DEGW & BDSP
- Henry J Lyons & Gilroy McMahon
- Scott Tallon Walker
These architectural practices will now enter discussions with ESB on details of their designs. A final decision on awarding the design contract will be made by the ESB board later in the summer.
ESB expects to be in a position to submit a planning application to Dublin City Council in early 2011. The planning process will take in the order of 12 months.
