Under the Microscope
Peter Kelly
Job Title: Auditor, Group Internal
Audit and Chairperson,
ElectricAid
How do you relax?
I play 'social' tennis which is my
attempt to keep fit. I used to
umpire tennis (the man in the
high chair) and my greatest
achievement was to work at
Wimbledon and even get to work
on Centre Court.
Where do you consider your
most idyllic holiday location? In my spare time, I work with
Chernobyl Aid Ireland and my
'holidays' are spent working in an
orphanage in Belarus. The
orphanage was in a poor state
when we went there first ten years
ago, but things are improving
gradually.
What is your greatest fear?
That neither Munster or Leinster
will win their European Cup
Quarter-Finals!
What person has influenced you
most?
Political writers such as John
Pilger and Noam Chomsky who
are not afraid to 'call it like it is'.
What upsets you most? People who don't listen.
What are the values you look for
in people? Honesty and a sense of humour.
If your house was on fire and
everyone was safe, what 3 items
would you bring with you? Books, CDs and collection of
photographs.
What is your 'secret' ambition?
Well, that would be telling,
wouldn't it?!
