ESB and GAA Provincial Councils launch 2006 Minor Championships The Leinster and Munster Councils of the GAA joined ESB in officially launching the 2006 ESB Minor Hurling and Minor Football Championships. ESB is the first sponsor of the Minor Championships, a sponsorship that began last year. The Leinster launch took place in Portlaoise and was attended by ESB Chief Executive Padraig McManus and representatives of the Leinster counties. As part of the sponsorship, ESB is providing each county with a training pack of water bottles, first aid kit, footballs and sliothars. The sponsorship was welcomed by the Chairman of the Leinster Council of the GAA, Liam O Neill. The Munster launch was held in Adare in Co Limerick, ESB Chairman Tadhg O Donoghue officially launched the 2006 ESB Minor Championships for the Munster province. That event was attended by many leading figures from within the GAA in Munster. ESB provided similar training packs for the Munster counties. |
