ESB MADSOC Draw

ESB madsoc held its annual general meeting on Wednesday May 27th. Having built up a high profile in the music world over the last 25 years, a lively debate took place as to how MADSOC should move forward in keeping with changes in the music and entertainment world in general.

With a reduction in staff numbers over the years it was found that the draw was no longer providing the funding required to produce a show. It has remained virtually unchanged since its first inception.

It was unanimously decided to restructure the draw without upping the membership fee which has also remained unchanged for many years. The draw is still terrific value at € 1.46 per week deductible from salary or pension. The new prize format will mean a draw held every month for € 2,000 plus five prizes of € 150 per month. Twice a year there will be an extra Bonus draw for € 10,000 which will be held every Summer and Christmas.

There will still be a seller’s prize of € 100 for anyone who sells the winning ticket each month and also the seller of the Bonus Draws – that’s 14 chances a year to win a seller’s prize! Over the last few years many of our original sellers have 'moved on' so if you feel you would like to sell some tickets for the draw in your area please email us at MADSOC@ esb.ie where we will be delighted to hear from you. Similarly if you wish to join the draw please also email us and a ticket will be sent to you.
