Sean Treacy retires

Following more thank 48 years of loyal and dedicated service Sean Treacy retired from ESB on June 11th. Sean was based in Ardnacrusha Power Station for the vast majority of his service in ESB. In the early 1990s Sean became involved in Trade Union matters at a Central Level becoming heavily involved in the negotiation of CCR, PACT and PPC. In 2003 Sean was nominated by the Group of Unions as their nominee on Partnership.

Executive Director, HR, Luke Shinnors outlined Sean’s contribution to ESB and in particular his willingness to embrace the new Partnership approach which emerged in the mid 1990s following the Review of Relationships.

Sean spoke of his fond memories spanning a long career in ESB. He expressed thanks for the many good wishes he had received and wished all staff the very best of health, happiness and success for the future.
