A LIFE in the week - Terry Cummins
"Having family and friends together on
Christmas day is the only way to do it,
besides I would miss not doing the
cooking!"
Job Title/Description: Human Resources
Manager, Aghada, Cork. HR Support function to Aghada.
What do you like most about
your job?
I love being out and
about talking to people. There are
some great people here at Aghada. I
am also really looking forward to
the next couple of years here with
the building of the new CCGT and
all that goes with it so it’s onwards
and upwards lads.
If you weren’t in your current job
what would you be doing?
I would probably be a Chef.
Personal ambition?
We are only
on this planet for a short while, so
my personal ambition is to be the
best that I can be in my present
job.
If you had a choice of another
career what would it be?
Again,
it would have to be a Chef, as I love
cookery. Having my own little
restaurant would be a bonus (might
even employ Gordon Ramsey)!
What was the best Christmas gift you ever got?
When I was about 8 years old, I remember
getting a compendium of games
from Santa. All the family used to
spend hours playing with ‘my’
present, you can imagine the hassle
that this brought in a big family,
but I loved it.
What would you like to find in
your stocking this Christmas?
Doreen (say no more!)
Describe your dream location for
Christmas?
There is nowhere in the world I
would like to spend Christmas but
at home with Doreen and the kids
Rebecca and Daniel. Having family
and friends together on this day is
the only way to do it, besides I
would miss not doing the cooking!
Laying on some tropical beach
somewhere on a Christmas day
would not appeal to me at all.
Which four people, past or
present, would you invite to
Christmas dinner?
Michael Collins, Dr. Martin Luther
King, my Dad and Egyptian Pharaoh
Seti 1. There would be some
discussion happening here. I
believe these guys would sort out
all the world’s problems in a couple
of hours. |
