ESB Independent Energy announces Contracts worth €2.25 million ESB INDEPENDENT ENERGY ESB Independent Energy (ESBIE), a wholly owned supply company of ESB, recently confirmed it has entered €2.25 million worth of contracts with Irish companies. ESBIE sources a total of 800MW of power from Synergen Dublin Bay Power on the Poolbeg Peninsula, Coolkeeragh power station near Derry and from renewable energy suppliers. The new electricity supply deals are with: the four-star Maryborogh House Hotel in Cork, Glennon Brothers Timber Ltd and Spring Grove Services. ESBIE is supplying more than 7,000GWhs of energy to these businesses. ESBIE is supplying electricity to Glennon Brothers' timber processing sites in Longford and Fermoy in Co. Cork. It also supplies Spring Grove's five commercial laundries and distribution depots, one of which has been nominated for a Sustainable Energy Ireland efficiency award. ESBIE Managing Director Liam Molloy said: "We are delighted to be partnering these valued customers.
