Erne Stations receives award for Work Management

ESB POWER GENERATION On November 9th Group Production Manager, ESB Power Generation, Andy Kinsella, presented a plaque to Erne Stations in recognition of their outstanding contribution to Work Management.

Andy paid tribute to the staff in Erne on achieving the highest score in the Work Management Audits which were carried out across all of Power Generation's stations earlier this year. He pointed out that Erne stations had also made the greatest improvement of any station from 2006 to 2007, improving their score from 51% to 84%, an outstanding achievement and example to all of what is possible.

Aodhan McAleer, Plant Manager, Erne Stations, accepted the award on behalf of all the management and staff at the plant. He paid special tribute to all the staff in Erne who had worked so hard to achieve their current high standard. He also expressed a belief that Erne could and would improve even more in the coming year.

The work management audits are carried out in ESB Power Generation every year. The audits assess how well each location is at identifying, planning, scheduling; accomplishing and documenting work as well as measurement and continual improvement. Every year so far the audits have noted an overall improvement of the standard across Power Generation.
