Ardnacrusha/Parteen Weir feature in Killinaskully special

Cast and crew of the popular television programme Killinaskully paid a welcome visit to the ESB's site at Ardnacrusha, Co. Clare recently.

Ardnacrusha, Irelands' largest hydro electric power station, provided the perfect backdrop for filming a scene for the fifth series of the comedy show. Pat Shortt, Joe Rooney (Timmy), Jack Walsh (Jimmy) and Louis Lovett (Dieter) were amongst the cast at the site on a beautiful sunny evening earlier this year.

Pat Shortt, Killinaskully's creator and frontman commented, “We are delighted that we could work with the ESB to ensure that Ardnacrusha could be seen in all its glory. Filming here today has been a pleasure and I would like to thank all at the ESB, and especially the lads at Parteen Weir, who made this possible”.

The new series of Killinaskully is seen on Sunday nights on RTÉ 1 from 28th September at 8.30pm. Two special Christmas episodes will also be shown on RTÉ 1 during the festive season. Watch out for these episodes for the ‘ESB connection'.
