Moneypoint - yes it's electric!

ESB Moneypoint has taken delivery of a demonstration model electric vehicle. This vehicle is designed for use in an industrial setting and is ideally suited to our site.

The Alke ATX 200E has maximum speed of 30kmph and weighs 820kg, when empty. It can carry two people and has a tipping body capable of carrying large tools and equipment. The range of the fully charged battery is about 70km.

We will be reviewing the performance of the vehicle in the coming weeks and assessing the practicality of using them in conjunction with our biodiesel fuelled vehicles. The big advantage of the Alke vehicles is that they have zero carbon emissions.
