ISME National Conference 2009
The 2009 ISME Conference title 'Quare times? - Why be afraid?' was the theme used by Eilis Quinlan, the Chair of ISME, in her address to more than 300 delegates attending this year's ISME conference in Dublin.
Eilis told the delegates that the last 12 months in particular have proven to be extremely difficult from a business point of view. many businesses have had to take extremely tough decisions and have had to 'cut our cloth to fit' to survive. the indications are that things are going to remain testing over the next number of months, she said and the road to recovery is steep.
The conference was addressed by expert speakers from many different areas, who outlined their vision of a 'New Ireland' and what needs to be done to achieve those visions. As always, there was plenty of opportunity for debate and, as with previous ISME conferences, the programme was supplemented by the usual mix of humour and opportunities to network with other delegates.
The conference was supported by ESB Customer Supply.
