Helping customers save money with energy efficient lighting
ESB CUSTOMER SUPPLY
ESB Customer Supply (CS) has just completed a massive energy efficient (EE) lighting campaign to promote energy savings and resulting in the sale of over ONE MILLION energy efficient bulbs.
CS joined forces with all the major retailers and suppliers to help customers save money while at the same time promoting CS as the expert in energy light efficiency.
Working with the main bulb manufactures (Solus, Philips, GE and osram), over 20 promotions were delivered in all the major retailers (tesco, Dunnes, Woodies, Superquinn and Super- Valu etc).
Point-of-sale stands were cobranded and permanent branding in the form of shelf strips and wobblers are being tested in Dunnes, Superquinn and Woodies. Also, for the first time, ESB Customer Supply branded stickers are on packs of Philips and Solus promotional bulbs.
Advertising support attached to the campaign included radio ads, bill inserts and posters together with a massive CFL illumination in four selected sites.
the Pr campaign was designed to bring EE lighting into mainstream thinking and included a Late Late Show feature with ryan tubridy discussing the benefits of the EE lighting campaign and needless to say… 'a prize for everyone in the audience'! the campaign was also covered in the press and on radio with great EE prizes being given away.
All of this has resulted in the 2009 lighting campaign being a huge success, with retailers and bulb manufacturers increasingly eager to work with ESB CS. more importantly consumers are seeing a real benefit.
