UCD Safety & Health Diploma and Certificate Presentation to ESB Students
A presentation of Certifificates and Higher Diplomas in Safety Health and Welfare at Work (SHAWW) was made to 30 ESB students at the O'Reilly Hall at Belfield UCD on Saturday 17th October 2009. ESB Power Generation Asset Management Manager Michael O'Mahony and ESB Networks Ltd Safety, Health and Quality Manager Ger Buckley, attended to congratulate the recipients of these significant qualifications.
This is the 11th successive year for ESB students to earn Health and Safety qualifications from UCD, with a total of 250 ESB employees earning these qualifications at the university. The programme has lead to improved safety management and a safety culture throughout the ESB organisation. Within ESB, this initiative has assisted in the management and promotion of safety and health awareness and has made ESB a safer place to work for everyone.
