Company wide review of Risk Assessment launched during Safety Week
A company wide Risk Assessment Improvement Project was recently launched by Project Sponsor Pat O'Doherty, Executive Director, ESB Networks Ltd. The project is part of the EDT Safety Work Programme for 2009 / 2010. The purpose of this project is to improve the use of Risk Assessment across ESB as part of our objective to reduce LTIs to zero. The overall project will proceed through to the end of 2010. The project was approved by the EDT in July.
Each business unit will be working to identify areas for improvement that are relevant to that business unit. However, sharing of information and 'best practice' by the project team is expected to result in common improvement themes emerging.
This project is one of two cross company EDT safety projects for 2009. The other project relates to Contractor Safety and is being sponsored by Michael McNicholas, Executive Director Generation Trading and International Activities
