IOSH Fellowship
for Grid Safety
Specialist
Mark Kenyon, Senior Health
and Safety Specialist in the
National Grid and EirGrid, was
recently transferred to the grade of
Fellow by the Chartered
Institution of Occupation Safety
and Health (IOSH).
IOSH is Europe's leading body
for Occupational Safety and
Health professionals, representing
over 27,000 members world-wide
and some 2800 here in Ireland. The
Institution aims to secure and
justify public trust and confidence
in the services provided by its
members by ensuring high levels
of technical competence and
professional conduct.
Fellowship is not just
recognition of long service, and
members must commit to a
programme of continuing
professional development, submit
a portfolio outlining their
professional experience and
undertake a peer review interview.
Mark has been employed within
the Grid for nearly two years and
has become Ireland's 28th
Chartered Fellow.
A continued drive is underway
at the Grid to achieve OHSAS 18001
with the help of all employees in
ESB National Grid and EirGrid.
