N.U.I. Galway, Conferring in Training and Education

With the importance of the new Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 places on training and competence in the workplace, it is very gratifying to see ESB staff gaining both certificates and diplomas in the important discipline of Training and Education.

Staff from both ESB Training and Telecoms were present on Saturday 22nd October in Galway to collect their well-deserved awards. This is the culmination of a full 12 months of hard work and endeavour.

David Grundy from ESB Telecoms collected the certificate in Training and Education, whilst staff from ESB Training Portlaoise were continuing their personal development by receiving diplomas in the same discipline.

The staff concerned were Teresa Farrell, Caroline Mills, Ted O'Connell, Tommy Kelly, Billy McMullan and Fintan Hennnessy. John Moran, Kevin McDermott and Billy Chambers were conferred in abstentia.

It is particularly gratifying to see two female members of Networks Training Staff Portlaoise being involved in this endeavour and collecting diplomas in this much-sought after discipline.
