Winners of EM/ElectricAid Christmas image competition

Many thanks to all of you that entered the Christmas Card competition. We were overwhelmed at the response and there were lots of "aha" moments as we trawled through the entries, which so beautifully captured the essence of Christmas.

Winning images have been used to create the official ESB Christmas Cards as well as packs of 9 cards that are available for staff to buy for €10. All proceeds from the sale of these cards will go to ElectricAid - ESB staff's social justice and developingworld fund which is strongly supported by ESB itself. In Ireland and all over the world, we fund development projects which combat poverty, illness, ignorance and injustice.

So not only has this competition provided the opportunity to profile some of the talent that lies in our corridors, but it has also helped to benefit people in Ireland and in the Third World.

With the festive holidays coming up, this is the perfect time to get out there and start capturing some seasonal scenes for next year's competition. Who knows...next year your image could help people in a very real way!
