Accident Investigation specialist training
With increased emphasis on competency resulting from the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, a specialist training course on Accident Investigation was held recently at the ESB Training Centre, Portlaoise. This course forms part of the professional development scheme of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
The aim of this intensive course was to develop and accredit the skills of in-house accident investigators within ESB and to establish a core of expertise in Accident Investigation and Reporting. Each attendee underwent an assessment of the skills learned, leading to the award of a certificate from IOSH.
