Tralee Retired Staff Christmas Function

76 members of Tralee Retired Staff Association attended their Annual Christmas Dinner in Mount Brandon Hotel, Tralee on Wednesday 22nd November. On a typical November day in Kerry, with wind-driven rain howling in off the Atlantic, members travelled from as far afield as Tousist on the Beara peninsula, Waterville on the Iveragh Peninsula and from Knocknagree and Mallow in County Cork to celebrate the occasion and to meet again old friends.

A feature of the evening was the attendance of representatives from all locations of the 'Old Tralee' District - Tralee, Dingle, Listowel, Castleisland, Killarney, Kenmare, Caherciveen and Kanturk. Not forgetting, of course, retired staff from Tarbert generating station. After the meal, the group repaired to Siamsa Tire, the National Theatre, where a thoroughly enjoyable performance of "That's Entertainment" completed the evening. To the delight of all present, former Branch Secretary Denis Leen graced the occasion.
