Great Island Association calls for new members

The ESB Great Island Retired Persons Association was set up in 1998. The AGM will be held in March and the group would like to see more members attending to gain increased ideas and suggestions of events. A day trip last August to Avondale House, home of Charles Stewart Parnell near Rathdrum in County Wicklow, was extremely successful. A dinner in the Horse and Hound, Ballinaboola, New Ross in December last was another resounding success. The Chairman, Jim Doyle, thanked all the committee and the members for attending.

The next dinner will be held in February in the Brandon House Hotel in New Ross.

The current officers of the Association are: Chairman, Jim Doyle, Secretary, Marian Kinsella and Treasurer, Joe O'Keeffe. The Committee members are Timmy Coughlan, Robert O'Riordan, Tony Kehoe and Liam Ryan.
