Equality & Diversity launches Parenting Seminar in Cork

ESB is commited to creating a positive and inclusive work environment for all staff and ESB also acknowledges that it can be challenging to maintain a good worklife balance, especially when trying to combine parenting with a career.
In supporting ESB's Striking the Balance Policy, the Equality and Diversity Office developed a programme called 'Positive Parenting', which consists of a series of seminars focusing on different themes and age groups.
The first of these seminars was hosted by the National Contact Centre in Wilton in November 2009. Launched by Joan Lynam of the Equality&Diversity Office, it was attended by about 40 parents. The feedback from those attending was very positive. The event was videorecorded for the benefit of those that could not attend. The Positive Parenting programme will be rolled out across all Business Units in locations around the country over the course of 2010.
