Positive results on sustainability from staff survey
Sustainability News
The most recent staff survey carried out in late 2009 contained a small number of questions relating to sustainability. The results from right across the company are very positive and reflect the significant efforts and involvement from many people. At the start of a new year this is a great encouragement to us all as we strive to become the most sustainable company in Ireland.
- 80% of all respondents (3,183) agreed or strongly agreed that their own approach to energy saving at work has improved in the past year.
- 75% agreed or strongly agreed that there have been improvements in sustainability at their work location during the past year.
- 73% agreed or strongly agreed that they are adequately informed on how to be sustainable at work.
- 56% believe that ESB will achieve its target to reduce its carbon emissions by 30% by 2012. This is up from 40% last year's survey.
