Sportsco boasts world-class facilities

Fantastic special offer now available to members!

2005 was another banner year for Sportsco with the leisure facility winning several awards for excellence, including 'Best Pool in Dublin' and the prestigious White Flag Award for overall excellence, in addition to receiving the Q Mark for Quality for the third year in a row.

Sportsco is now also running a special offer for members. For a once-off payment of €350, members will have unlimited use of the gym, pool and leisure suite for 12 months, including free unlimited early morning access. "Never has it made so much sense for ESB staff to use Sportsco," says General Manager Lorna Brady.

"This facility is for ESB staff and we have always strived to try and meet their needs, such as opening early to allow people to work out before heading to the office. We also offer a wide range of fitness classes including pilates and yoga and we have a variety of holistic treatment programmes as well. We hope our special offer will prove attractive to ESB staff, who we know are very busy like so many people today."

2006 will also see a continuation of the ongoing refurbishment programme which, when complete, will offer members one of the most modern leisure complexes in Dublin. In addition to the six-lane, O-zonefriendly swimming pool, tennis courts and all-weather football pitches, Sportsco's fitness centre includes an aerobic studio, resistance studio and cardio theatre with the latest cardiovascular equipment.

Personal fitness training is also available and Sportsco also offers daily fitness classes. Two new services include a running club and weight training workshop. Sportsco's Therapy Clinic offers a wide range of treatments including holistic massage, Indian head massage and reflexology. Karen Ward, from RTE's 'The Health Squad', will also be running a 'Holistic Health Day' this February 19th, which will offer tips on yoga, meditation, health eating and relaxation.

A 100-seat function room is also available for all kinds of corporate functions including retirements. But Sportsco is not just for the big people! In addition to swimming classes for kids, Sportsco also caters for children's parties with great organised fun to be had both indoors and outdoors.

"We want people to know that we are always improving what we have to offer. Along with our extensive range of classes, we are continually improving our facilities to ensure we offer the best services in an extremely competitive marketplace," says Lorna Brady. EM
