Engineered! A Week of Wonder is back - treasure hunt dates announced

Engineered! A Week of Wonder will take place again this year during the Spring midterm break, February 11th-15th. Last year, more than 11,400 people participated in 75 events nationwide. This year, we hope to grow our audience to more than 15,000!

Throughout the week, regional treasure hunts will be held in five different Irish cities. Participants will follow a trail in each city, putting their imagination and creativity to the test by completing questions and challenges based on major engineering feats. This is a fantastic event for the whole family and participation is FREE.

Each treasure hunt will close with a Magical Science and Engineering Show by physicistturned- magician, Sue McGrath. This entertaining and action packed show makes science simple, relevant and exciting for students as they learn through experiment, discovery and fun! The dates of the treasure hunts are:

• Cork -Monday, February 11th, 2008
• Limerick - Tuesday February 12th, 2008
• Galway -Wednesday February 13th, 2008
• Athlone - Thursday February 14th, 2008
• Dublin - Friday February 15th, 2008
