ElectricAid Christmas cards to fund up to three life-saving projects in Developing World

At the annual switching on of the Christmas lights in ESB Head Office, ElectricAid once again timed the launching of the charity Christmas cards to coincide with this event. James Foley of ElectricAid thanked all those who had taken part in the EM competition to raise funds for ElectricAid.

Entrants submitted photographs and artwork in large numbers. The event was open to both staff and children of staff (retired and current) and raises much needed funds every year. The cards are sold all over ESB and externally. 100% of proceeds are for ElectricAid. Speaking at the event, Chief Executive, Padraig McManus said the cards will fund two or three life-giving projects in the Developing World.

"You have contributed to something really special and have made a difference to real people suffering from poverty, disease and injustice," he said. It was wonderful this year to see people from around the country taking part in such large numbers. The Chief Executive presented the winners with their prizes. This year the Pensions Office also availed of the charity cards which was welcomed by ElectricAid. Sincere thanks to all those involved including Zahra Publishing for the design, HO Restaurant staff for providing the refreshments and Facilities staff for the decorations and organisation and of course all the entrants.
