ESB Independent Energy strategy day sets the scene for year to come

More than 70 staff from ESB Independent Energy (ESBIE) gathered for a day-long off-site strategy review in December. The annual session outlined the business strategy and associated plans for the year ahead, reviewed performance in the past year and celebrated project and team achievements.

This year's event covered a number of key topics including: a Pictured Liam Molloy, Manager ESBIE & Emerging Business, Padraig McManus, Chief Executive, Michael Mc Nicholas, Executive Director, ESBI and Paddy Hayes, Manager ESBIg.ESB Independent Energy strategy day sets the scene for year to comebusiness update by Paddy Hayes from ESBIE's business partner, ESB Independent Generation; the 2008 sales campaign (Bob Turley, ESBIE), Budgets and Controls (Diarmuid Fenelon, ESBIE); Risk and Governance (Deirdre McNamee, ESBI); and an overview of excellence in the areas of Debtors Review (Norah Lyons, ESBIE); Billing & Market Interactions (Elaine McManus, ESBIE) and Customer Service (Lisa O'Connor, ESBIE).

Sustainability was also on the agenda with ESB's Director of Human Resources and Corporate Affairs John Campion outlining How ESB is addressing the challenges through our 2020 plan. He was supported by Ray Hestor, of ESBIe-fm, who gave an overview of the Sustainability initiatives undertaken by ESBI. Padraig McManus, ESB Chief Executive, gave a closing address.
