DIT graduations Higher Certificates in Power Plant Technology were conferred on 22 key operating staff from ESB Power Generation by the Dublin Institute of Technology on Monday, November 22nd. The conferring ceremony took place in the prestigious surroundings of St. Patrick’s Cathedral, where family, friends and colleagues joined the graduates in celebrating their achievement. The DIT Higher Certificate in Power Plant Technology is available at two levels - Plant Operations and Plant Management. Each certificate course is two years long and requires the participants to demonstrate both knowledge and competency in the operation of power plant. In meeting the demands of the new market, the success of ESB Power Generation will be underpinned by staff having the necessary skills and knowledge. These qualifications play a key role in ensuring our operating staff have the appropriate blend of skills and knowledge to meet the challenges ahead. ESB Power Generation acknowledges the huge effort made by the participants during the two-year programme and congratulates them on their achievements.
