Demolition of Lanesborough Power Station

The demoliton of the Lanesborough Power Station began on Friday 8th December when boiler house 1 was blown up. This series of photographs shows the sequence of events as the structure was demolished.

Heavy machinery and cutting arms were used to finish the demolition. The other two units will be demolished over the coming months.
