ESBI records 2,000 accident free days at Pakistan plant

Rousch staff celebrates safety record

Safety has always been at the forefront at ESBI Rousch Power Plant in Pakistan. The ESBI Operations & Maintenance team endeavours to promote safety among the staff, site contractors and local community. To mark a tremendous achievement ESBI at Rousch celebrated the achievement of five years (1826 days) without a Lost Time Incident, on 19th July 2006 and has since achieved 2000 days without a staff LTI in December 2006.

While delivering his welcome address, the ESBI Plant Manager Jim Finlay, proudly acknowledged the teamwork of his staff members and reiterated the commitment for maintaining the same high safety standards and leaving no stone unturned in achieving zero LTI's in the years to come.

The importance of the event was further emphasised considering there had been one major overhaul, the Fuel Gas Conversion of the Plant and GT-12 Turbine casing replacement during this time. The ESBI team efficiently and effectively managed a large number of contracting staff, a variety of activities and jobs while executing these projects during the past five years.

The colorful celebratory event was oganised by the staff members with great enthusiasm and fortitude. Staff families were also invited to share in the occasion. In recognition of attaining this landmark, gifts and souvenirs were presented to all the staff members and mementos were presented to the RPPL (Owner's) representative, the site contractors and department heads of the ESBI team. Bravo to all at ESBI Rousch and keep up the great work!
