Editors letter

Hello and Welcome
to the July/August issue of EM.

I would like to thank you all for the unbelievable amount of readers' survey questionnaires returned to us. The response has been tremendous and we will be forwarding €2 for each returned survey to our colleagues in ElectricAid who will benefit greatly from this money. We include in this issue the results of the survey and they are very positive. Once again thank you for taking the time to complete the questionnaires.

This year marks the 50th Anniversary of ESB GAA Club. Any of you who may have memorabilia going back over the years and would like to share it with the committee, let us know or forward details to Colum Grogan at ESB Corporate Affairs, Head Office. Colum can be contacted at colum.grogan@esb.ie.

Now that you are all probably looking forward to a nice break for a couple of weeks, we would like to remind you to enjoy your holidays safely. Whether it's on the road or on the beach – be aware of all the safety signs and the warnings that are put in place with very good reason. Watch out for other people's behaviour on the road, as well as your own, and take whatever safety steps you can to ensure that you have an accident-free holiday. It must be everyone's worst nightmare that something would happen a loved one while on holiday. From road accidents to the awful nightmare visited on the parents of Madeline McCann and others – none of us would like to find ourselves in that situation.

So while we don't want to spread doom and gloom, remember that by just being that little bit more observant and careful, we can all have a wonderful time and enjoy the good weather and a break away, without suffering any mishaps or misfortunes. Have a good holiday.

  Bernie Healy
