Friends of the Elderly

Friends of the Elderly, based in Bolton Street, Dublin1 is a voluntary group for the elderly. They have launched the oldest boy band in Ireland.

'The Bolton Street Gang' is comprised of four elderly musicians playing saxophone, keyboard, percussion and vocals.

Playing a mean mix of blues and ballads, the 'boys from the band' are members of the Friends of the Elderly, Bolton Street Wednesday Club. They are looking for studio time and a recording contract so they can 'cut a disc' and raise funds for the restoration of the Friends of the Elderly Drop-In Centre which is in urgent need of repair.

Their repertoire includes :-
Summer in the City
by The Lovin' Spoonfull
Dirty old Town by Ewan McCall
Dublin can be Heaven made famous
by Noel Purcell
