ESB Customer Supply in warm home scheme

ESB Customer Supply recently attended the launch of Clar ICH Warmer Homes Scheme in Claremorris and also attended the Warmer Homes Scheme Forum meeting at The Shamrock Lodge Hotel, Athlone, hosted by Athlone Home Comforts.

Over the past number of years, ESB Customer Supply has worked with Energy Action and a number of other Fuel Poverty Support Agencies around the country to support the SEI-funded Warm Homes Scheme. ESB Customer Supply has provided energysaving light bulbs (CFLs) and hot water cylinder lagging jackets to low income families and the elderly. These initiatives have contributed to significant energy savings for households benefiting.

All of these measures can make a real difference to low-income families and the elderly in the community. For instance, replacing an ordinary bulb with a CFL can help a customer save up to €170 in electricity costs over the lifetime of that CFL.

ESB Customer Supply is delighted to support the work of Clar ICH, Athlone Home Comforts and the other agencies in the installation of energy efficient products which will benefit the households in the areas where they are installed by helping them to reduce their electricity bills.
