‘Succeeding’ Theme for ESBI Heads-Up management conference

More than 70 senior managers from ESB International attended the recent ‘Succeeding’ conference in Dublin. The bi-annual internal event, which was opened this year by ESBI Executive Director, Michael McNicholas, is an important get-together for top managers from ESB Independent Energy (ESBIE), ESB Independent Generation (ESBIg), ESB International Investments (ESBIi) and ESBI Engineering and Facility Management (ESBIe-fm).

ESBI Financial Controller, Jim Dollard followed Michael’s opening address with a presentation on the group’s current business performance and project pipeline. Deirdre O’Hara, ESBIg, delivered a presentation on Responding to a Step Change in the Competitive Market: Independent Energy & Independent Generation.

Michael Quigley, ESBIefm, outlined the new Strategic Resourcing project and was followed by John O’Connor, ESBIi and Jacinta Ryan, ESBIefm, who provided an overview on ESB’s new Project Delivery Model. Guest speaker Viren Doshi, Senior Vice President of Booz & Company, focused on Managing in Challenging Times. The last topic of the day was a joint presentation by Bevin Cody, ESBIe-fm and Linda Ryan, ESBI on how marketing and communications are essential building blocks in a challenging business climate.
