Customer Supply Safety Solutions Competition

During safety week ESB Customer Supply staff participated in a Safety Solutions Competition which explored their awareness of key safety and health risks.

These risks included slips and trips, carrying hot liquids, fire, driving, safe use of electricity and workstation related injuries.

Slips and trips and hot liquids have been the most prevalent cause of accidents over the past four years in ESB Customer Supply while fire, safe driving and use of electricity have potentially high impacts.

The European Agency for Safety and Health at Work has also identified that increased time spent sitting at computer workstation leads to increased risk of Musculoskeletal disorders and Psychosocial risks as a major challenge.

The winning team was NCCC Debtors team in Finglas led by Val Moylneux. They each received a One-4-All voucher for €200.
