ElectricAID Ireland supports Louisburgh Community

Esb electricaid Ireland recently gave a donation of €7,500 to the Louisburgh Community Project in Castlebar, Mayo.

The donation will go towards the provision of a counselling service to individuals and families, run by the project as part of its Family Support Service. Due to Louisburgh's geographical isolation many services are not readily available and 'Family Support' is one of the few local services that provides information and support to the people who require it.

The fact that there have been six suicides in the Louisbourgh area in the last nine years speaks for itself, say the community project organisers. The group was delighted to accept ESB's contribution and felt it would help greatly in reaching those people who really need their support.
