ElectricAID Ireland donates €20,000 to Focus Ireland

Electricaid ireland has donated a cheque for €20,000 to Focus Ireland, one of the largest voluntary organisations who are combating homelessness in this country.

Originally Dublin based, Focus Ireland now also have projects in Limerick and Waterford with a potential development in Cork. Its services take people through three stages: crisis, transition and settlement. The charity's work is essentially about enabling and empowering people.

Focus was assigned a block of 24 one-bed apartments at Deerpark in Tallaght for long-term rental accommodation for single adults. The €20,000 ElectricAID Ireland donation is going towards the fitting out and decorating of the apartments.

Focus Ireland's director of fundraising Mark Mellett expressed his appreciation and commented on how the donation would contribute enormously to project.
