Cigré Technical Committee Award
Joe MacEnri, Asset Management Services ESBI, was recently awarded a Cigré Technical Committee Award for 2005. This award is given to Cigré members in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the work of Cigré.
Joe was a member of the Transformer Study Committee's working group that examined the 'Economics of Transformer Management', and in the latter stages of the group's work he took on the responsibility of collating the contributions and editing the group's final report. The report was very well received by Cigré members at the last Biennial Session in Paris, and it is one of the first studies undertaken in Cigré, which examined economic aspects of power systems as opposed to purely technical aspects an all island market operation. ESB International is already operating on both sides of the border.
