Kerry Person of the Year

Jeremiah O'Donoghue from Rathmore has been selected Kerry Person of the Year for 2006 by the Kerry Association in Dublin. The Cathaoirleach Eileen O'Sullivan made the announcement at a reception at the ESB Head Office in Dublin on 8th February.

Many well-known personalities, including former Kerry footballer Mick O'Shea, were among the large attendance at the function. The award, now in its 27th year, has been presented to the people who are doing the most for their locality and for Kerry as a whole, or whose achievements on a national or international scale during the year has reflected most credit on the county.
