Donal Keeshan retires

There was a larger than usual attendance at Donal Keeshan's retirement presentation in Nature's Way on 23rd of March to celebrate almost 38 years service. During his presentation speech Frank Lernihan remarked on Donal's varied career which saw him spend many years in the 'old' Fleet Street before his move to Cork where he moved through the roles as Marketing Manager in the South-West Region and later Commercial Manager in the Southern Region. Frank made special mention of Donal's pivotal role in recent years as Manager, Metering and Database Services in Networks in which he played a key role in preparing ESB Networks and the associated market systems for the competitive electricity market.

In his speech Donal thanked the large gathering, and many current and former luminaries of ESB for their friendship as well as personal and professional support during his long career. He was especially appreciative of the attendance of many of his former colleagues from his Fleet Street days.

Following the speech-making formalities, Donal accompanied by his wife Alice, daughter Danielle, her husband Brian and their son Aidan went on to party in Foley's of Merrion Row where the festivities continued.
