Erne Stations donate award funds to charity Erne stations won the hydro section Power Generation Tidy Stations Award in 2006 and were presented with a monetary award for this achievement. At one of the station's very active Partnership Group meetings an item on the agenda was discussing what to do with the award. A proposal was put forward that the money be presented to a local charity or organisation and all staff were asked to nominate their preference. Three organisations were chosen, namely; Northwest Hospice, RNLI Bundoran and Sheil Hospital Patients Comfort Fund. Each received a cheque for €500 and their representatives were most grateful for the very generous gesture by the station staff. Erne Stations were delighted to receive the Tidy Stations award in the first place and equally pleased to pass it on for these very worthy causes. ESB POWER GENERATION |
