New EAP Officer Appointed

Mary Mangan has recently been appointed EAP Officer, HR Shared Services. Mary will join the EAP team of eight officers who deliver The Employee Assistance Programme throughout ESB. The purpose of the EAP programme is to provide individual employees, their immediate families and retired staff with ready access to professional, confidential and positive help.

The service covers a wide range of issues including addictions, bereavement, bullying/ harassment, family problems, stress, depression, trauma and work-related difficulties.

As well as offering advice on a number of personal issues the EAP team are also involved in rolling out a number of programmes such as health screening, vaccinations and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle. Over the coming months the team will be working closely with the newly appointed Health and Wellbeing Coordinators in delivering a number of health initiatives organised by Occupational Health.

Mary is looking forward to meeting and working with the staff in the areas she is involved with and together identifying opportunities to help create a worry-free, healthy and safe working environment which has always been a priority for ESB.

In her role as EAP Officer, Mary will cover the areas of Head Office, Ardee, Drogheda, Dundalk, Poolbeg and North Wall Stations, Merrion Square, Navan and Ringsend. Her contact details are; Mary Mangan, 27 Lr. Fitzwilliam Street, Dublin 2.
