ESPA members given ESB view

In a broad ranging address at the Energy Sector Professional Association (ESPA) AGM on Wednesday, April 16th ESB Chairman Lochlann Quinn covered some of the global, national and local issues facing the energy industry - climate change, the needs of the two emerging economies of China and India, the green agenda (and its cost), the nuclear option, the ESB's capital spend to 2020 and the use of smart metering. Lochlann gave a low-key presentation, that nevertheless gave a good insight into how ESB sees its role in tackling these issues. There was a warm and very positive response from the large gathering of ESPA members present and from those present from various ESB business units from across the country.
