NCCC Fashion Show raises €8k for Charity The National Customer Contact Centre (NCCC) has raised more than €8k for two charities in a gala Fashion Show held at the Clarion Hotel, Cork. Staff at the Contact Centre joined forces more than 30 local businesses to assist the two charities despite the economic downturn having a negative and dramatic effect on many fundraising activities. A thoroughly enjoyable event attended by more than 500 and saw staff and management strut in gallant style on the catwalk. MS Ireland and the Oncology Department of the Mercy Hospital in Cork are the two beneficiaries of the event, both of which have been hugely supportive to staff colleagues during the past two years. 60 NCCC and Restaurant Staff in Wilton, together with 35 staff children, presented an extremely professional show. Guest on the night, and the only professional model present, was Miss Cork 2008 Jean Kenny. Also taking part was Timmy Ryan, up and coming Munster Rugby star. The MC was one of NCCC newest staff members, Vivienne Kelly, from Lockdown Model Agency. Presentations on hair style and makeup were given by local companies Hair Addict and Beauty Corner. An excellent raffl e took place following the show sponsored again by local businesses including trips to soccer matches with hotel and fl ights, wedding stationery and meal vouchers. Delighted to scoop two of the top prizes was John Dwane, Income & Billing Manager, two return trips to London and a Gucci watch! Well done John and well done to the hard working committee and all the NCCC staff, backstage and on the catwalk for raising such a large amount. |
