Under the Microscope
Bill Coyle to everybody except my parents -
they still call me William.
Job Title: Maintenance Manager
in Coolkeeragh Power Station.
Who are those closest to you?
My wife, Terre, and my two little
boys, James (2) and Brian (1).
How do you relax?
I used to do a fair amount of running
and surfing- my view is a change is as good as a
break. However, at this stage, I
would love if my two sons stopped
waking at 6am every morning and
let the parents sleep until to a
respectful hour of 7:30 am!.
Where do you consider your
most idyllic holiday location?
New Zealand - it’s a beautiful
country, loads of outdoor activities
to do and people have a healthy
attitude to work and free time.
What is your greatest fear?
It only happened once and it was
sitting the Leaving Cert French exam.
What person has influenced you
most?
My parents, they
allowed us a fair amount of
freedom growing up and always
managed to 'pull in our reins' at
the right times.
What upsets you most? Bad driving, especially meeting
cars on the wrong side of the road.
You always wonder if you were
another second further up the road.
What are the values you look for
in people? Open-minded, conscientious and
a good sense of humor.
If your house was on fire and
everyone was safe, what 3 items
would you bring with you? Photo album, the house insurance
policy and the boys’ favorite toy
bears. They would care more
about the bears than the house.
What person would you most
like to meet?
It would vary and if
you could turn back time, it
would be Ernest Shackleton, as I
have just read a book about him.
What is your ‘secret’ ambition?
At the end of my days, being able
to say no regrets - drinking a pint
in my favorite pub.
