Appreciation - Billy Ryan

It was with great shock and deep sadness that the Staff in ESB Network Projects Rosbrien, Limerick learned of the sudden and unexpected death of our dear friend and cherished colleague Billy Ryan some time ago.

Billy worked in Transmission throughout his career in ESB and was involved in all major projects at 400KV, 220KV,110KV and 38KV in the Mid- West region. Billy's specialty was in Tower assembly and erection at which he excelled. Billy had his own unique inimitable style which endeared him to his colleagues. His wit and good humour are sadly missed.

A remembrance Mass for Billy was organised by his colleagues recently who were delighted to see his family and so many of his neighbours and friends at the ceremony.

Many tributes were paid to Billy and many stories told of his life in ESB. To his brothers Jack (who also worked in ESB), Mossie, his Sisters, Eileen, Brid, Josephine and his extended family, we extend our deepest sympathy.

May he rest in peace.
