Power Generation Safety Challenge 2007 The fourth annual Power Generation Safety Challenge will take place in Portlaoise on Wednesday 28th November and following on from last year's hugely successful event, this year's challenge will again have a practical as well as a theoretical component. The day will start in the ESB Networks Training Centre with a number of team exercises designed to demonstrate practical safety skills, followed by a table quiz in the Heritage Hotel. There will be a perpetual trophy for the winning team, plus cash prizes for those who come first, second and third. There will also be spot prizes on the night. Each location is requested to enter a team and to engage Safety Committees/Safety Teams/Staff in making their selection. As next week is European Safety week, it would be an ideal opportunity for stations to hold safety events locally. To assist with this, the organising committee have drawn up a sample quiz from previous year's questions. As the same list of questions is to be circulated to all locations, it is important that circulation of these questions is restricted to the person organising the local event. Enter for the Safety Challenge by email detailing Location and Team Members to Gpg-Safety Quiz (on global address book) by Friday November 16th.
